From The Scribe's Inkwell
Well as the Scribe I should probably get some thoughts to pen. Or tap on the keyboard.....
The past year in review had changes, advancements and achievement. Last year we had to change our venue for Trace. And up until about a month before Trace, we were uncertain as to where we would be meeting. But the Lord's hand was moving to bring us to a new location called Bake Oven Flats. Everyone that came to Trace enjoyed the new location, the wide open meadows that was nestled next to the river. The sounds of running water, the light breeze in the trees and fresh mountain air set the tone for the message brought by Pastor Chase.
We had the Frontier Adventure and had 21 Candidates who attended. 3 Old Timers, 18 Young Bucks stepped up to the calling. We had 6 Members that became new Buckskin members. 2 of these Buckskin Candidates decided that they would like to change their FCF Names at the Naming Ceremony. 3 of the members were Old Timers, 3 were Young Bucks.
Later in 2011, came a Wilderness Testing held in the High Mountains of Idaho in the Nez Perce National Forest. We made camp at 5,500 ft in a meadow with tall fir & pine trees surrounding us. Many of our brother's from the region came to join for the Territorial Event. Members from the Hudson' Bay Chapter, Little Big Horn Chapter, Marcus Whitman Chapter attended. Our guest speakers brought a contingent from the Sierra Grizzly Chapter.
I've read through the recap that Blue Dog wrote up from Territorial on the Montana FCF website. He really captured all of the elements from the event. So I'm going to include a link here for you to read.
